In these days of hard economic times, we
hear mostly stories of "gloom and doom." We've all
seen that home down the street that simply isn't selling,
despite months and months on the market. However,
chances are that it's overpriced for today's market.
It's generally pretty easy to find out the
price of homes for sale on the Internet. Once you've found out the price for that
home, ask yourself these questions:
1) If you were a buyer, would you pay
asking price?
2) Does the home have enough curb appeal
to even make you stop and look further?
3) Is the interior of the home
attractively staged?
If the home has sat on the market with no
activity for more than 30 days, changes are the answer to
all three questions is a resounding "NO"!
Homes are selling, albeit at a lower price
than in years past. But when priced properly and
accompanied by home staging, homes can still sell within
10-30 days.
